Correct a sideways picture
Turn a photograph or screenshot to its natural reading orientation. Choose a quarter-turn, generate the preview, and check text or recognizable details before downloading the corrected copy.
Rotate photos and flip them horizontally or vertically.
Correct orientation or mirror an image using straightforward transformation controls. Preview the transformed result before saving.
Turn a photograph or screenshot to its natural reading orientation. Choose a quarter-turn, generate the preview, and check text or recognizable details before downloading the corrected copy.
Use a horizontal or vertical flip when a design or reference image needs the opposite orientation. Pay particular attention to writing and logos: mirroring changes their reading direction as well as the overall composition.
A 90° or 270° rotation swaps the image width and height. The output is PNG, so repeated transformations do not add JPEG compression artifacts.
A 1200 × 800 image rotated 90° clockwise.
An 800 × 1200 PNG image.
Quarter-turns swap width and height. Flip options mirror the source axes before the selected rotation is applied.
Try the flip options independently before combining them with a rotation. Source-axis flips and a quarter-turn can produce a different apparent direction than flipping the final displayed rectangle.
This tool exports PNG to avoid an additional lossy JPEG encoding. A PNG can be larger than a JPEG photo; use Image converter or Image compressor afterward if you need a different format.
A little clarity before you get started.
No. The canvas export creates a fresh image without the original metadata.
No. The available rotations are 0°, 90°, 180°, and 270°. Straightening a slightly tilted photo requires a dedicated editor with arbitrary-angle rotation.
Yes. Select a rotation and one or both flip options, then inspect the generated preview. The combination may change the apparent flip direction, so use the preview as your final check.
PNG output supports transparent pixels. The tool does not add a white background when exporting the rotated or flipped canvas.
No. Canvas export creates a new image without the original EXIF or other source metadata. Keep the original file if capture information is important.
