Merge PDF

Combine several PDF documents into one organized file.

MAKE EVERY STEP COUNT

Bring related documents together in the right order

Bring reports, invoices, notes, and scanned documents together without uploading them. Pages are copied in the order of the files you choose.

Prepare a complete submission

Put an application form, supporting statement, and evidence into a single document. Decide the reading order first, choose the source files in that order, and use the selected-file list to check the sequence before merging.

Organize a project handover

Combine a project summary with meeting notes and supporting reports so the next person can review them together. A merged file reduces the number of attachments, but you should still keep the originals if signatures, bookmarks, or interactive forms matter.

Get the best result

Use unencrypted PDFs. Interactive forms, bookmarks, signatures, and document-level attachments may not carry across; check the downloaded copy before sharing.

SEE WHAT TO EXPECT

A practical example

Starting point
A two-page report followed by a one-page checklist.
Expected result
One three-page PDF: report page 1, report page 2, then the checklist.

The tool copies pages in file-selection order. It does not sort documents by their titles or rebuild their contents.

Troubleshooting and useful checks

A document will not open

Check that the file is a real, unencrypted PDF rather than a renamed image or webpage. If another PDF viewer also reports damage, export a fresh copy from the original application and try again.

The output has an unexpected order

Review the numbered file list before merging. Your operating system may arrange a multi-file selection differently from the order you clicked; select the files again until the displayed sequence matches your intended document.

HELPFUL ANSWERS

Frequently asked questions

A little clarity before you get started.

Will the original files change?

No. The tool creates a new PDF and leaves your originals untouched.

Can I combine PDFs with different page sizes?

Yes. Each copied page keeps its original dimensions. The result can contain a mix of portrait, landscape, and differently sized pages; merging does not scale them to a common paper size.

Is merging the same as compressing a PDF?

No. Merging combines page content into one document. It does not promise a smaller file, optimize scanned images, or reduce image resolution. The final size depends on the source documents.

Will bookmarks, form fields, and digital signatures be preserved?

Do not rely on those features surviving page copying. Check the output carefully and retain your originals. A digital signature authenticates a specific document state and should not be treated as valid on a newly assembled file.

Can I change the page order inside one source PDF?

This merger follows the existing order within each file. Use Extract PDF pages to create a reordered selection first, then merge that prepared file with your other documents.

Do I need an account to use this tool?

No. This tool is free to use without signing in. An account lets you keep a list of favorite tools.

Can I use this on a phone?

Yes, with a current browser. File support, download behavior, and available memory vary by device. For large documents and images, a computer is often more comfortable.
